Help troubleshooting Frag/Vac

I have a JC frag/vac and the Fragrance isn't working. When Fragrance is selected, it seems that air can't make it from the compressor to the outlet of the gun, so something has to be wrong with that line, but I'm not sure what. Air is coming out of the compressor and I tired taking a line from the outlet side of one of the solenoids and hooked it up to the compressor and air came out of the gun. But when the actual air line is hooked up, the air has no where to go and the compressor shakes like crazy. What could stop up the air line and is there anything that I can do to open it? It was cold last night, but I can't think of how the air line would freeze up. Is that possible?

Yes, it could freeze. You could throw the head in a bucket of haot water for a minute or 2 and turn it on - leave it in the bucket.

You can also take the white plastic piece oit of the gun - loosen the crews on both sides and push it carefuly from the back with a metal rod. You can then access the hoses and small parb fittings.

Have had some barb fittings close with corrosion.

Check your solenoids! They can get clogged for several reasons, such as switching from oil based to non-oil based fragrance and also if you do not have screens on your pick up tubes, debris can get in.

It is the air hose for sure as no air is coming out of the head, but it's going to be -1 or worse tonight so I figured I'd just mess with it after it warms up in case it freezes again. Is there a good screen you recommend that would fit on those tine pickup lines? I think they are 3/16" lines.

Hey slash,
I'm not completely familiar with JC vacs but maybe it can be an air solenoid which is no longer opening. I have multi-function vacs that do both scent and shampoo, so there are multiple air solenoids.

Here is the strainer that I use KR Part #: VAA8843 I know it works for 1/4" tube. I can't remember if it steps up to 3/16", I don't think it does. You may have to call KR and make sure.
