Hole in my Polycoarbnate roof

Sometime over the summer someone forced an extension ladder through my polycarbonate roof. I didn't realize how much it was going to leak until this past weeks heavy rains. Anyone have any experience sealing these panels back to watertight? It is a thirty foot long panel so I'd rather try to seal the slit than replace the whole panel. Looks from the ground like it will need sealing on the inside and the outside.

Can you link or provide us some really good pictures of the damaged area? ... I suspect that there may be some variations of polycarbonate sheets or panels that could effect potential suggestions.

You could try epoxying it and use a tape both sides that will resist sunlight, but I doubt it will last through a couple of winters. The crack will continually expand as the roof flexes and its structural integrity has been compromised. Our polycarbonate roof also had a crack, fortunately it was covered under the manufactures 10 year warranty, we only had to pay for labor.
