How do you guys judge how long your hoses should be for your bays? HP FB TF Etc? Thank you so much in advance!!!!

I like it so the hose at rest - gun in holder does not have any part on the ground. 18" seems to work for me but that would vary but ceiling height and boom type.
Long enough that a customer can reach the coin box with the gun in their hand when the timer beeps but short enough so they cannot shoot water into the box.
I’ve had to many coin boxes and vaults froze solid with ice in the winter.
Years ago I got tired of hearing people slam the gun to the ground when the 1 minute timer started beeping.
I buy the hose wrap to wrap around all the hoses so it’s not a big problem of wear & tear.

I know you may be asking a specific length but that depends on a couple of factors including your roof height. I keep mine on the shorter side. I have 12' ceilings. I use a 10' HP hose and a 1' swivel saver combined . I mainly do that to keep people from washing debris off too far outside the bay. If I park my full size truck in the bay I can wash around it no problem. It also keeps my hoses from dragging. When someone puts the wand back in the holder it pulls the boom over to the side and helps keep the hose out of the way.
I don't think I have ever really put a lot of thought into it. Basically I check for two things, can I stand at the entrance/exit and comfortably wash a vehicle? And when I have the wand put in the holder and hose on the hook, does it drag on the ground. I like to keep the curve of the hose a few inches off the ground, looks better and will allow the hose to last a little longer.
