Excuse my ignorance, as Im a bb coach by nature & profession, but how would I go about finding out who owns a lot?

There are 2 vacant lots, in a sleepy rural town of 9k, right in front & adjacent to Wal Mart. Town has ONE crappy old touchless, & that is it. Nearest larger town is 15 miles away, & nothing but pastures in between them.

Usually the county has a property search feature where you can zoom in on a lot and it will give you the owner's name. Sometimes it's just some corporation, but you can at least write to them. Good luck with your plans. And I know what you mean about the crappy touchless. Many owners and chemical reps simply do not know how to set them up so you get a clean dry and shiny car.

Most towns have a PVA website where you can search by address. Try that.

As Mac alrdy said used the local county appraisal district website it has owner's name and mailing address. If this is in TX we have great records here and easy to search. PM if you have any questions

google ""county of interest texas gis" and if your county has online mapping software it should pop up in the search. In my state it is maintained by the tax assessors office. It will tell you who and where they mail the tax notices to.

Use Google Earth and click on the property. It should tell you the address. Property records are public in Texas - just search for it in the county the property is located.
