Here is the link to my favorite place, so far. http://www.stanielcay.com/ I have a Mooney that gets me there in a little under two hours, mainly because you have to stop at an airport of entry to the country, and then you're free to go anywhere. The rooms are really affordable, you even get a 20% discount if you fly yourself. They'll rent you a Boston Whaler with a cooler of Kaliks and a picnic lunch, and off you go exploring the little islands. Did I mention that many of the european women visiting think it's silly to wear a top?

Well it is silly, Mac. So you fly there? Do you have to have special equipment to fly over water? Like an inflatable raft?
Because personal flights are flown under less stringent regulations, all you need to carry is a Coast Guard approved flotation device for each person. You are never more than about 15 to 20 minutes gliding distance from land (small islands) at any time and always in contact with someone on the radio, so rafts aren't needed. If going to south or central America, a raft would be a good idea. It really is cool.

Depending on the time of year I like to hunt, farm (make hay, tend to pastures, tend to wildlife food plots), and work on my equipment or "classic" trucks/cars ( '41 Ford pickup, '55 Chevy pickup, '69 Willy's CJ5 ). I enjoy doing mechanical things and don't have the patience to sit still.
