HP hoses fittings

Graffiti Wash

We recently installed new equipment at our car wash and we are having issues with the HP hoses breaking off or popping off inside our equipment room. Our hoses are Continental ContiTech Neptune 3000 3/8 wire braid hose. Any recommendations for fittings or clamps?

This. Guarantee they are under crimped. Hose type and end type must be matched to a specific die when crimping.
I’ve seen some real abortion hose assemblies come out of these so called hose shops or equipment distributors. When I was a young apprentice part of my 5 year apprenticeship was working in a hose shop for 6 months. We made every hose you could ever imagine.

When I make my hoses, I mic or use dial calipers and check the crimped diameter to make sure its in tolerance. Like already mentioned, tolerances are given for matched ends and hose..I've never had an end pop off! Thats crazy!

using 100 r1 at hose single wire braded hose and a 3/8 fitting we find that diameter used during crimp is about 40 thousand on a crimp hose, recommend u find a good hydraulic hose maker in your area and make up new hoses that will confirm weather you have a crimp problem

Had this happen on a new install in 2004. Service company made all the hoses on site with replaceable hose ends. The guy used an impact gun to install each part. He spun the rubber off the hose. Most of the hoses lasted a few months.
It really sucks to be the new wash in town and your Carwash has no water at the gun but water pouring out of the ceiling.

Sounds to me that that clown didn't know what he was doing, but then again most service companies don't really know what they are doing.
