Hydraulic Leak

For the life of me I cannot seem to find this hydraulic leak in my tunnel. So, what are the usual suspects when searching for a leak.

I have included a Red dye to the power pack. I found a leak in one of the seals on 1 of my motors. But it seems there is another place. Every morning I get the flashlight and search.

I have replaced a 100 foot 1/4 inch line from the hydraulic pack to the exit motor. That had a leak.

I'm baffled. Maybe the Hydraulic Pack gauge is faulty?

Pull the screen from the fill cap on the Hyd reservoir and use a measuring stick to check the oil level for a couple of days to see how much you are loosing. First thing in the morning when everything in the tunnel is dry, run the hydraulic pack and look for leaks.

Well you could always go low tech and put a stick in the fill opening and measure the height. Might need to pull / uscrew a screen in the filler to do that. Try and measure on 2 differnt days when it's hot. Different temps can change the level slightly.

A motor seal at the shaft is a likely culprit. Typicaly tough to find on a unit like a top Brush or wheel brush where it drops on a wet floor as opposed to gumming up equipment.
