I recently purchased another carwash and was hoping to continue to use the hydrospray unit that was in the wash for a few years. The gantry unit in the bays is brand new, just installed last tuesday. Yesterday it was knocked off the track at the rear of the car. This is the second time this happened. I have a mark v11 at my other location and have not had this many issues in the six years i have had it. I would eventually like to put another mark vii in this new location but as always cash is the issue at this time. My hydrospray is a rainmaker and the track is a solid oval. everything seems to work when it is working but I am concerned it will cause damage and upset customers. Anyone have any suggestions as to why hydrospray stops at back of vehicle. Is it hitting a hitch or something on the vehicle? Should there be eyes mounted on the machine or in the bay to determine if a vehicle is too long. Any help would be appreciated.

I must follow up. After posting my issue, I recieved a call from the President of Hydro-spray and the company seems very concerned and willing to help me with my issues. I do have a very good representative and feel that we will get the problems resolved. I will keep you posted.

Hey, Statestreet. We have a 12yr old Hydro unit. Once or twice a month we find it at the back of the bay in the morning. We return it to starting position and it works fine, until we find at the back again. We suspect customers are rolling off the treadle switch, the tower stops, they're lost and they drive out.

One time,a woman inched forward until her rear tire activated the switch... Guess the rest!

You know a camera in the bay would tell you what is going on.
