It would be nice to have a app where customers could buy their washes before they get to the wash, or at the wash. Have the app send out discounts or reminders to get your car washed. Have the app linked to their card or bank. Sometimes its a hassle for people hanging out their windows trying to put money in the pay station. Sure would make it convenient.

Would you want it to issue a code that they punch in at the pay station?
I'm not sure how the code issuing database works for the different pay stations as my wash only has some junky ones that don't have that feature.
Could maybe make it work similar to how redbox's text message promotions work, where you get codes sent to your phone along with other promotional things. Text STOP to stop getting text messages, type BUY (or something) to get a code texted to you that charges your credit card and can be used to redeem a wash. That way no app to install. Then maybe they register for the program on your website, choose the default wash package they want and payment method.
Or maybe easier, allow people to buy washes on your website and it issues codes for washes and emails them to you.
Anyway I think it's a good idea. I always see people hanging out the window or trying to crack there door open in a way that doesn't damage there paint.
I'd be willing to work with you on coming up with something. I think I could come up with a working prototype pretty quickly if I can interface with the database pay stations use to store codes easily.

Any idea how gas station pumps are able to issue codes for a WSII on your receipt?

They usually use a pos4000 that interfaces between the pumps and your paystation. It assigns the code and keeps track of it.
