FWIW....I pay to have someone check my wash at least morning and late afternoon/evening regardless of the weather.
20 years ago....I was almost tempted to tell my evening guy to stay home, since it was raining and was forecast to rain for several days. When my guy went to the wash (and opened the
door)....the Equipment room was almost flooded with a foot of water.
The float had broken off of the end of a Walters valve....and water was running into my stainless tanks at FULL force. Hot water side to boot.
Big mess. Nothing damaged....except my wallet to pay for water and sewer going straight down the drain.
This thread is a good reminder to keep stuff off of the floor that could be ruined.
Soap buckets are no problem. Kerosene torpedo heaters etc....not so much.
