Hello all, I am planning on having a part-time attendent for a new IBA. Thinking a couple hours a day... What is the best time of the day for him to be on-site? What are the busiest times of the day?

Some real-life data would really help.

Comments welcome.

My clean-up guy shows up every morning at about 7:30, checks out all the equipment and cleans up. He is there about 2.3 - 3 hours. Starts the day off nice and clean. He then returns at about 1:30 for another quick check and clean up.

He helps quite a few people out when he is there in the a.m. But I have to say than late afternoon - say from 3 p.m. - things can get pretty busy. (I watch from my surveillance system).

I work my own wash on the weekends and we are busy early, things slow down around 1 to about 2 and then things pick up again and we are slammed until about 5 or 6. This is on Sat.

On Sunday we have a lot of church goers. After church we get pretty busy and stay that way until 6.

So, this is just out pattern. Do you have surveillance?? It may help you to determine best times to run attended.

During the week, I see the most business from 5 pm to 8 pm. Saturdays it can stay busy from 10 am 'til dark, and there doesn't seem to be a peak time. For us, Sundays are busiest early in the morning until shortly before noon, I suspect from churchgoers washing on their way.

Thanks guys. I have been thinking it would be better for an attendent to come early to take care of any "gifts" messy customers might leave over night. But, if most of the business tends to be in the afternoons, maybe it would be better to have him come then?

If you're only planning on having someone come once a day to clean up, then it doesn't really matter. If by "attendant" you want someone to be helpful to customers, then you would certainly want them around when it's busiest.
