ICA Show, Is it time to go yet?

I.B. Washincars

I've already booked my flights and rooms for the ICA show in Vegas. Registration for the show hasn't even opened up yet. Does anyone else get as excited about going out there as I do or am I the only one?

Every time I see you there you are heading off to meet Mary somewhere else. And, I'm sure a tightwad like you isn't actually buying anything at the show!;)

Heck, I don't even know when the show is...

Was it really good deals this early! At least you'll be in the first row on the plane.

The price of the flights is around what it was last year, but the selection wasn't that great. We are flying out Sunday 5/1 and returning 5/8. To get flight times to my liking I booked Frontier on the way out and Southwest for the trip home. The Frontier flight was actually a little cheaper and has TV to watch. I will definitely keep that in mind for subsequent trips. Regarding the hotel, I've learned from the Vegas forums about that game. Get a players card (or sign their online guest book) for each of the hotel groups and they will send offers. When a better one comes along, cancel and re-book. I just got a better offer this morning from Treasure Island (where I had already booked) for about $200 less, so the game begins. I'm hoping for a decent offer from Venetian or Palazzo, since the convention is going to be there this year, but I'm not counting on it.

Why wait until May. The national convenience store convention is in Febuary and most of the car wash companies are in attendance. I am thinking of going just to get out of all this snow and cold.

We just made our Hotel and Plane reservations for the ICA convention. Got the best deal on a room at Harrah’s, which is a short walk to the Sands Expo hall. The Air fare was about $40 less than last year. For any of the newbies in the carwash industry this is a great opportunity to go and learn more about the car wash industry. We are getting excited about going. So who's going this year?

I'm raring to go! I boxed up most of my stuff and shipped it to the motel yesterday. I'm hoping like hell it is there when we arrive Saturday. If not, I'll be the guy wearing the barrel with straps. Any last minuters pulled the trigger on going? I know Greg Pack has been rooting through his vac dirt for enough to buy a ticket. As of last week he still wasn't sure if he was coming.

I found that the prices for the Venetian dropped prices on rooms now compared to the ICA rserved price. Getting a room for $60 less than the ICA rate and they are upgrading it also. Allegiant flight is only $58 this year.

Yeah, I was watching the Venetian rates like a hawk, but the closest they ever got to my Treasure Island room was still $300 more for 7 nights. I got a 930 sq. ft. Tower Suite at TI for about $1300 compared to the Venetian 700 sq. ft. for about 1600.

Pat we are good to go also. We are looking forward to seeing everyone again. I don’t think any of the hotels can’t beat the rate we got at Harrah’s. Pat are you still planning on the Pre-convention meeting Sunday night? I talked to Greg Pack yesterday and he didn’t find enough coins in vacuum dirt to be able to come to the convention this year.

Greg was in the path of those tornados that went through AL. He posted on Facebook that he is ok, nothing worse than tree down and some lost shingles. Lots of death and destruction down there, I sure feel for them.

Glad to hear greg is OK. I will Miss talking to him at the convention, haven't seen him in a couple years now. I have a room at the Orleans- a mile west of the NYNY on tropicana i think it is at like $200 total. They have a free shuttle that will take me as close as harrahs. The place isn't as spectacular as the venetian, but with kids it has like 70 lanes of bowling, 8 movie theatres, and 8 restaurants, and cheap for the cheap guy.
