it seems like all your views are spot on!

1) testing period was not long enough
2) other then including the tire shine the concept has been out there for better then 10 years. the new wrinkle is introducing it to iba operators.
3 i saw the package at the show, it is to tight. the tire shiner is 100 % under the air dryer. not a good idea. better a 40'-50 equipment/ building passes on that.

also in the cold climates freezing is a area of concern. overhead doors need to be added with up/down operation. even coupled with a great heating system if it's housed in a 50'-60' building and you do volume it's tough not to freeze.

Did anyone see similar equipment from Sonny competitors like Tommy Car Wash Systems or anyone else?

Lots of similar stuff, but I have not seen US mfgrs with 2 of the space saving innovations which were the vertical top brush and the pendulum motion for the tire brush and Tire shine. (I qualified it for US mfgrs because I think I saw a video of some other wash that may have had the vertical top brush.)

I don't know what the tunnle length for a vertical top brush is but would guess its about 4 feet being the brush diameter. AVW list theirs as 12 feet, and Sonny's at 9.5 feet for the regular top brush unit.

The other space savers with Pendulum Tire Brush and Tire shine I think he said save 4 feet each.
