Does the green wire on 1 look correct here? Shouldn't it be on 2 (earth ground)? Foam brush is working, but I'd like to make sure it's properly connected. Thanks in advance, and I'm going to clean it up...and get away from extension cords. 😂 PXL_20210309_171906155.jpg

If the green wire is one of the 24V "common" wires from a bay, it's wired correctly. In fact, if it works, it's wired correctly.

That looks better than most of my work
I hope your work looks better than this:

That exposed blue spade to the right is 120V live. Whoever did that used 22 gauge multiconductor wire, 4 strands for 120V hot to the pump, 4 for common and 4 for ground to a Procon pump. The MX8 is dangling from a piece of coat hanger poked through a hole in the board.

trs246810, this is what your MX-8 set up should look like when you’re done. I installed this MX-8 probably 25 years ago and it hasn’t missed a beat. Installed it in a 30amp disconnect switch can for spray protection, pulled out the guts and mounted the MX-8 inside.

thanks...it has worked for years. I did clean the wiring up this week. I have so much to learn...I feel like okay at replacing things wire for wire...but not understanding as much as I should past that.
