My wife is jealous of me and my washes. She runs large schools and universities dealing with bitchy parents, kids, and teachers. Not all but enough to make her days challenging. She cannot wait to quit that life and work with/for me at the washes. She has started working some weekends to get a feel for it. I started her at the bottom cleaning out vacs. She wants to learn more and make the jump. Will happen soon I expect. The good and great days definitely out number the less than fun days by far.

Lol! They must be some "bitchy parents, kids, and teachers" for her to want to clean out vacuums! :ROFLMAO:
No joke. I hear the stories and some are way beyond belief.

I am trying to be transparent and realistic with day to day operations at a carwash. Has not discouraged her. We shall see. My best employee (our Lab) has no complaints and is wonderful with customers.

We’ve been in the car wash business for 42 years. It used to be fun and enjoyable. Anymore it’s pure drudgery. The class of our customers has gotten to the point that they are mostly the scum of humanity. The theft, vandalism and the general disregard for the car wash property has pushed us over the edge. We are in maintenance mode and are no longer making any capital improvements. Tired yes, I’d have to say we are tired.
U need to sell it ASAP & move to the South. We won the election,& are gonna change things back to sanity

Been coaching 33 yrs. Still love it. But bad parents & kids + the Woke bull$hit is gettin old.
Also, fot some reason most Americans under 40 don't respect teachers & coaches anymore. Or anything for that matter.

Just to add insult to injury, this is the stuff that makes us car wash operators tired of being in this business. This is what greeted me when I stopped by the wash on Xmas morning. Went back on my video and watched a homeless guy at around 4:30a.m. pulling all the trash out looking for stuff.

I solved this problem months ago. Make the can tops bear-proof. My wash has never been so clean. No more trash diggers. They don't even stop by anymore. Best investment I've made.

That's really cool! How did you have those made? Were they specially fabricated? Were they available to order from somewhere?

He lives in AZ. can fab up anything you want. I based my footprint off of the standard carwash trash can half-round top seen on Kleenrite. Nice guy and is flexible. Mine are all stainless steel construction with a unique lock. He has the plans. But yours are different. May need to customize them. But worth it. I can send you pictures of the internal design if you want.

I hate to tell you this, but that's not that bad. We deal with worse everyday.

Probably safe to say none of us are totally immune to this - just a matter of how frequently it happens from place to place.

It's been so nice without trash cans
We tried pulling the garbage cans and the customers would just stack there crap on the vac island or toss it on the ground. After about 6 month we put them back in.
