Influx of bots/AI

Anyone else notice this? What can be done to limit bots and AI from spamming and inhibiting actual discussion?

Yes, this place needs better sign up procedures/controls. Perhaps manual approval of new members.

You'd be surprised how many bots are caught here every day - they're getting more sophisticated with how they penetrate controls. I'd rather not have to slow down the process for new members/operators who need fast answers.
