Is a credit card receipt printer needed in this case...

My auto cashier for my iba has a receipt printer for credit card transactions.
I also have a credit card to token changer which has a (problematic) receipt printer.
I recently added credit card acceptance in all the bays which have no receipt printer.
My credit card swiper on my glass front vender has no receipt printer.
Is it necessary for my cc to token changer to print a receipt? We are considering removing the printer from it because it is a maintenance headache.

If I'm not mistaken, and someone please verify, receipts aren't necessary for transactions under $25. Do you have a lot of sales over $25?

I think it's signatures that aren't required for transactions under $25.

I am not wondering about what is legal but rather if my customer will miss the receipt given to them from that machine.

I think that they would. Some customers get reimbursed and some folk can deduct. I hear about it pretty quick when mine is acting up.
