Is anyone using WashCard with their WS2?

I added WashCard to our three WS2s about two years ago. We have an intermittent problem where a wash is purchased but the signal doesn't seem to make it the external fleet card in the WS2. It seems to be getting slightly more frequent.

Anyone else having this problem? Unitec wants to upgrade the software which I planned to do until I got a price of $995 per unit. That seems high to me.

Anyone else run into this problem?

We use Washcard with WS2 and have the same problem. Have you tried talking to the Support Dept at Washcard? They made an adjustment to the pulse signal on ours. It seems to work better, but it still happens every once and a while.

According to WashCard, Unitec added a pulse acknowledgement option. The problem is that Unitec doesn't seem too familiar with this. The best info they gave me so far is that I should try the latest software upgrade for $995 per machine but they don't seem confident that is what I need. I have talked to both the parts department and tech support and I keep getting conflicting information.
It doesn't help that they have made it obvious they really don't want to talk to me because I am not a distributor.

WashCard gave me the part numbers and info that Unitec gave them on the update, maybe that will help jog someone's memory, I am going to try Unitec again today, I just have to carve out a chunk of time, the hold times for tech support can be significant.

I think we have it worked out. I managed to get some more details from WashCard and the parts department at Unitec. I have a software update ordered, that should solve the problem.

There was some confusion about the part numbers. The $995 was for a complete upgrade kit, most of which we already have, the software upgrade only will be much less.

I think we will be in good shape, the difficulty mostly stemmed from it being a situation that the support and parts department weren't all that familiar with.

I didn't mean for this to come across as a complaint with Unitec. I was frustrated with them but my question was actually intended to look for a solution, not to vent.

If WashCard and the rest of them had thought this out, they would go to the manufactures and make sure that their stuff worked together. Its in both their interest to do it.
