Has anyone had any experience with the Jim Colman fast track touchfree automatic. I know sonnys originally manufactured it. I'm looking at replacing an old pdq 4000 and my distributor now is selling coleman. I really like the my distributor but I'm not sure about this auto. I'm not into free standing blowers either. But it seems like it does a good job cleaning.

I'm a water wizard 2.0 fan myself. You probably already know this, but there is a fast track in Orlando that was on the SECWA roadshow this past Summer. I assume you could stop by and have a closer look if you wanted to see one in action.

I've only seen the ads in the "trades" (JCC hasn't updated their website) but it looks like an "updated" version of the HydroSpray Cobra from the Ohio days. It then went to Sonny's for a few months, then to Oasis for a cup of coffee, and finally it shows up again at JCC.?

I installed a few Cobras back in the last decade. They were a tad bit difficult in assemble but worked and cleaned quite well. Although, some operators felt they were actually too fast! I recall tweaking the VFDs and encoder counts to slow it down and give the wash customers an increased sense of value. Even still, I could get a throughput of about 18 cars an hour...as long as everybody didn't buy the super-duty-double-pass-on-everything wash.

I suspect that JCC has updated the PLC from the Modicons that HydroSpray used...although, it did have a pretty sweet MMI for the early 2000s.

I'd give it a serious 2nd look if I were in the market...heck, I might even give it a 3rd look.
