Hello everyone,

Was just looking for thoughts on Kaady vs. Blend Co and seeing if any operators have used both before. I am torn between Kaadys TWB product vs. Blend Co's Super Brush (both for the presoak). Kaadys TWB is a high PH while Blend Co. uses a neutral based foamer soap. This would be for an express car wash tunnel.

I like the show better on Blend Co but am worried about the cleaning power and how shiny I can get the cars from a neutral based product vs. Kaadys TWB high PH.

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Blendco's Super Brush foams really nice, but since it's neutral ph, you will not get much aggressive cleaning. I would rather stick with a high ph soap. It will clean better in results to happier customers.

Why is your focus narrowed to these 2 mfgrs?

FWIW; I've had very good success mixing my own soaps with Kleen Rite (and others) powdered products.

It's easy to do and saves a bundle.

FWIW I switched triple foam soap, Sealer Wax, Triple Foam Polish. and Pre Soak, to KR after learning about it on this forum. (No powders for me).

5 or so reps (Including one from one of the mfgrs referenced in the OP) tried to match price and performance on those items. None succeeded.

Some tried to sell me on the higher price due to some higher level of service or support they supplied. In my case their was no need to use their service or support.

TWC is a mild alkaline detergent. pH is 11.6 whereas 14.0 is top and 7.0 is neutral. It contains detergent feedstock and alcohol. Sold as “pre-soak” for conveyor but it is not a high foaming product.

Mild alkaline is suitable because friction does most of the cleaning whereas foam detergent (neutral or slightly acidic) is applied to curtains and rotating brushes for lubricity and show.

Mild chemicals are less harsh on the paint especially for repeat customers who wash a lot.

Just a thought on mixing chemicals. For you independent operators who are hands on, go for it. If you want your attendant guy to do it however, that's another story. Just seen too many cases where the trash can emptier guy was pouring water into a drum while whistling Dixie.

The Kaady TWB is the finest product on the market, which bar none.

Used it in my exterior tunnel in the prep guns, as a tire and wheel cleaner and a body shampoo. It worked absolutely perfect in all applications.

As for safety it meets California's Proposition 65 one of the toughest chemical regulatory bills in the country.

And Chuck Kaady uses it in his chain of highly successful exterior washes than run at 140 and 160 cph and the cars come out perfectly clean.

Plus Kaady is always improving the TWB to make it better.

TWB is a chemical developed and used by a carwash operator, not chemical company
