Couple of years ago I switched to KR Summer and Winter Shampoo for my Coleman Units.

We had a terrible winter and had issues with 3 machines and can't help but wonder if it's product related.

2 Machines had the clear plastic cover on the strainer break, seeming to blow apart. Could have been from freezing. Another unit would not pump and thought the Solenoid wasn't opening but discovered the little barbed fittings at the solenoid clogged with rust. Also note in others that fluid in the strainers seemed to be rusty.

Anyone else having issues?

Funny, I had the same exact issues this year with my JC units. 3 strainers had the plastic cap bust, and on two after troubleshooting forever I finally found that there were clogged barbed fittings. I also use KR winter shampoo during the cold months.

FWIW The old style strainer with a M x F Fitting was no longer available got a strainer with 1/4" male fittings and did some retrofitting which wasn't terrible since I could rearrange existing fittings. Then I figured out I could just slap the plastic cover from the od one on the new one.

I have the 1/4 mm and was able to just replace the cover on two. On the third, there was a crack in the white part as well.
