I have a friend who is a carpentar. A painter was cleaning his paint gun the other day and apparently blew latex paint all over his truck. It is red and now has cream colored spots all over it. I told him that some of you guys would probably know how to get the latex paint off. Any ideas?
Thanks,
J

If the spots aren't too large a clay bar might do the trick.

He has a lot of spots. It's on his paint and even his black rubber bumper. Where does one get a clay bar? Auto parts store?

Probably need to find a detail product supplier in your area. I haven't seen one in our parts stores.

I used a clay bar very successfully last year to take latex house paint overspray off of my black lincoln ls. It came off easily. Advance and Autozone carry them. "Goof off" works very well but I don't know that I would use it on painted surfaces.

Goof Off or Good by Splatters will both work with some rubbing. Neither one will hurt the finish of a non-latex based paint.
