BTW...Project for the week I'm off on Christmas break....Clean the garage! It doesn't take long for it to close in on you!
Yep,
All off my local "stocking" distributors are singing the same tune.
I've been buying these types from Home Depot to replace my tubes inside my workshops (not in the bays). Use the same fixture, just wire around the ballast. Relatively cheap and work really well for me. They have different color options.

Swapped out my Home 4 ft fixtures for these. http://www.samsclub.com/sams/4ft-led-shoplight-shoplight-led/prod16460030.ip
$36.00 for entire fixture and light is outstanding. Had 2 tube flourescent above suspended ceilings and replaced on with one of these to try it. I now have 7.

When looking at lights you have to compare apples to apples. Watts - lumens - color - output. When buying an 18 watt bulb, you always have to check the output per lumen. Some 18 watts give more, some are less. In a car wash they should always be 6000 calvin lumens. So just because they are cheaper don't mean they are the same. Check it out.... I did. I found out the hard way. If they don't mention it, they are probably going to be less quality.
Sorry what I meant to say output per watt. When looking at lights you have to compare apples to apples. Watts - lumens - color - output.
