not seen this before. customer left the bay and the LED 6 was just displaying -ON- not time left. He was a token payer not on credit card.
I was afraid to leave the wash with a bay turned "ON" not counting down so I hit the reset button on the back of the LED6 and it went back to normal. How did this customer turn the bay-ON- without a time counting down. Is there something wrong with my programming of the LED6?

I'd turn off the Bonus time feature.

Why give any bonus time, extra tokens? It’s just plain dumb. Does the grocery store give you an extra gallon of milk when you buy 3? Does the gas station give you an extra gallon of gas when you buy 20 gallons? Hell No! I have a car wash near me that the operator gives 5 extra tokens for a $20. His vending is flying out of the vending machines, everyone is using the extra tokens to buy vending items. We’ve never given bonus time or given extra tokens and are business is smoking.

LIke I said I will turn if off next time I'm there. It makes no sense to me either, I think it was a defaut settin in the LED 6 I must have missed when I swapped a new LED 6 last summer when the original one went bad and had to be sent in for repair. I can see an extra token or 2 on a 20.00 sale, I'd rather have more 20s and fewer 1s. but my changer cant do that (as far as I know). In 3 years i've lost about 500 tokens that never made it in a coin box. Probably made more on that than my vending machines, (which do not take tokens) but do take bills directly.

We lose around 10,000 - 12,000 tokens a year, "walk off" is what it's called. The problem now is the token manufactures can't get the metals to make custom security tokens. If your using a 70/30 or 85/15 alloy no problem you can thoset cheap tokens.

The default setting is the one in the brackets in the manual. The setting yours is on is what's causing your problem. It probably got changed accidentally.
