Installing Led 9 on bay wall and trying to minimize wires to the timer. For the Dixmor LED9, is the connection between the timer and Microcoin QL a 4 wire connection or 3 wire connection. For 4 wire coin acceptor connections (Sensatron), besides power and common, there are two signal (coin pulse) connections. One wire connects to pin 2 (coin switch) and the other is suppose to connect to pin 1( coin common). A continunity test between pin 1 and pin 6 shows a short. If I could safely connect the coin common wire (pin 1) to pin 6 (24 vac common) it would save me the time of running an additional wire from the coin box to the timer. Why would there be two connections on the timer (pin 1 & pin 6) that are basically a short?

You can just combine one of the red/green wires with the black and the other goes to pin 2. There's no need to run the two coin wires separately.
