I'm pretty sure that I've seen a link for this on this forum, but I can't find it now. Does anyone know of an online directory where I can search who owns a car with a particular license plate? Some kids tore down and stole my clearance bar last night and the neighbor got their plate number. Thanks,

I don?t think there are any ?FREE? web sites you can get the name and address from a license plate. We use private detective, he charges $35 per plate. A lot of the time the plate will come back registered to a P.O box. Did you call the local police and report it to them?

I used to subscribe to www.publicdata.com for around $20 per year. Then, Ohio changed how they let such databases access their information. Over time, the information they could provide became less and less accurate/current. I don't even know if they still exist, but if they do, see if you can check out the information for your state. It may be that for some states, they can offer a good service at a reasonable price; Ohio just wasn't one of them.

In Ohio, you can fill out a form and pay the state something like $7 for your request and they will send you the information via mail.

The very first thing I do when someone steals, dump there garbage or damages anything at the car wash is call the police. It?s their job and I?m a firm believer in making them do their job. ?Protect and Serve? is what?s on the side of there shiny new cars. Keep us posted

I use publicdata.com - it's relatively accurate for Texas, and it does include Tennessee in its lookup selections. It's around $30 for a year/250 look-ups.
