My son is a commercial door technician. I asked him about the commercial Liftmaster door opener and he said they are great in a warehouse or a garage but not in a car wash. He said the door he recommends for a car wash is the Air Lift door http://www.airliftdoors.com He also said that what ever door you go with be sure to maintain the door you install.

I have tried several different brands of electric door openers over the years. All of them that get mounted in the bay are subject to early failure even if they are so called carwash door openers. The best way to use a electric opener is to mount it remotely in an adjacent equipment room. This is not always possible. I currently have 4 of the liftmaster jackshaftgear box operators and they have solved a lot of problems I had with other in bay openers. I mounted them very high in the bay so water and soap do not get on them. I would go with them again compared to others I have tried.
