Lost License Plates

Other than going to the police station with them, is there an online site that actually will give owner contact information re lost license plates which we find frequently in the wash bays? We usually leave them propped up against the menu sign, but most of the time, customers don't even know they're missing and never show up to look for them. The online sites I've visited will only give the make and model of the vehicle.

They're probably stolen and the thieves are using your bays to swap them out with other ones on their stolen vehicles.

If they're long expired I trash them. If they're not expired just call the local PD and they will come pick them up and attempt to contact the owner..

Waxman makes fun of me because I have stacks and stacks of plates at both my locations and another stack at my house.
I can’t be bothered to bring them to the PD even though that’s certainly the right thing to do

I get quite a few in the automatic. I can easily search them from my LPR and contact the customer. Unless they paid with cash then I have no way to find or contact them. The police use my wash so I just turn them over when one of them comes through.
