Dema used to be reliable as heck, even the piston ones. They're not so good anymore. I've seen Dema 412P solenoids on pump stands that are 40 years old and still work perfectly. The new ones don't last five years before the brass erodes or the piston starts to stick where it won't open fully or close. I still use Demas, but only diaphragm type, and haven't had any trouble with them.
