I do not own a machine yet to have a serial number. With that being said I am looking to purchase a used one and wanting the manual to reassure myself I can install. I was wanting to read the manual/ install manual before I purchased the machine.

A Laser 4000 will require a licensed electrician to install if it will be inspected for code.

I would look for another system to install. 4000's are junk. They can't reset themselves. Their dryers constantly break (and don't even think of doing a docking dryer - it'll be a disaster). Their computer systems are tempermental.

Good luck getting a laserwash 4000 manual. I own one and have a valid serial number and can't get one. PDQ could care less unless you are the original owner of the machine. I have been getting my parts from washworld because PDQ has such poor customer service. I can't get a parts manual so its difficult to buy parts. I would steer clear of anything PDQ. If you ever sell your wash, the next owner will thank you.

I've done well with pdq support Mike and the guys are always very helpful
they have sent me many manuals and schematics.
I do agree that u do have to have serial nmbr and machine info and they would not be to crazy about a non pdq guy installing. However i did install mine and they helped best they could
I order parts from harrels they will send u a parts book also almost all wash world hv parts are same.
Sparky pop by i may have an extra manual i think i actually downloaded mine from there site i look for a file.
good luck
ps do not use the docking dryer add a separate dryer system other wise the machine is a work horse and easy to work on

4000s are Junk this is a Entertaining statement in itself. The 4000s in the 90s up until mid 2000s is what all other Touchfree washes are judged by and lead the future for washworld and many other to follow. That Junk Machine as you say has printed more God durn money for SS carwash operators across the United States probably than any other machine to this day in 2020 I would almost bet my Life on.

I would say the 4000s are why PDQ and it's Distrubtors have such lock down on certain markets put them in the position there in today 90% of your PDQ distributors in the US have been established for years and very very successful due to the protection and support to them from PDQ and has allowed them to grow. That's the only weak point I see in Washworld they will almost let anybody be a distributor 2 guys in a truck joke it's no where as Territory protection like PDQ offers to distributors which is not a good thing for the Long Haul. I like WashWorlds build quality but PDQ has had a plan and stuck to it for years and it's paid off to the company & Distributors

Exactly why Washworld cloned them, but at least had the sense to build the bridge out of stainless steel.

Look at the frame (bridge) before you buy. They rust very bad and it will cause issues. You might be lucky and find a used one with SS frame.
they might be outdated but they wash! You can get a upgrade to have them reset.
You can install it yourself. I just took 2 out and put in M5’s. My first attempt and new to this business.
Pdq support fof me was and had been great! Best support , I’m in sales as a full time job, 100% of my vendors don’t support me like PDQ has.
leave the dryer stationary or find a used air maxx

good luck

Yes, big difference from a 4000. If you don’t get the existing wires, be prepared to buy ALOT.
2 times the wires on a 4000 as a M5
Hardest part is understanding the schematic. Pdq helped me with that and it sure did help.
Im
I am not a electrician but my buddy is, he helped with the high voltage. Get a good meter, you will need it.
If you have basic knowledge of mechanical/electrical you can do it.
Saved me 12-15k

Not original owner but it was a two part process for me. Register your serial number with the PDQ website. Then call Harrell's in Indianapolis and ask for parts. They can get you access to all schematics etc. Probably helps to ask for assistance and not act like an asshat...
