Anyone else ever have this problem? I had a tiny car come through, 2 days after replacing my hp hose. I had washed about 35 cars, then the "lil shorty". After he came through, my hp hosecaught & hung up on the way down the car during triple foam. I have a floor standing frame, & it caught the frame, up top, about 1/3 of the way down. Shut down & unkined it, ran it dry, & put another car through. same exact thing happened. I removed the hose, flipped it around so the kined end was on the opposite end. I moved the flag on the passenger side bridge, towards the drivers side, about 2". Ran it 3 more cars & it has worked fine.
any advice?

Assuming your hp hose is the correct length, I would think it is a swivel or swivel alignment issue not allowing the boom assembly to track correctly. How old are your boom swivels? How often do you grease them?

1 swivel is 18 mos old, other is 8 weeks. What's happening is, hose goes to far to the right, when it comes down the rail, for 3x foam
I need something along top of frqm, to now allow it to get over far enough (so it won't hang up).
Any suggestions on that?

thinking I/we might design a board, leading from the wall to along the top of frame (where frame levels off & is bracketed) so the hose gently slides along this area (instead of contacting the bracket , thus eliminating this trouble spot)..... thoughts.?

I am assuming your hose hit the TF hoses somewhere along the wall where they come from the equip room into the bay down the wall to the end of the rail? I also believe the HP boom hose stretches over time. I have had a similiar problem after time on certain vehicles where the boom hose when making its turn along the center area clips the upright on the drivers side only. I would get the TF hoses out of the area from the boom hose. Might be difficult but I wouldnt want them anywhere near where they could tangle. Move them Up higher or down lower to the attachment point.I shortened one of the extension tubes on my boom 1 1/2" to alleviate the rubbing and binding on short cars with the triple pass on rear.

No, my hp hose has hit the bracket, up top of my stand alone frame. The frame comes up at an angle, then levels off & is attached by a bracket. That's where it hits.

Sounds to me like this new HP hose is a smigit to long. Is this a factory length PDQ hose or something someone made up like a local hydralic shop & they added couple more inches to it. Swivels did you go back with the factory style Super Swivels or different brand/style. Just throwing that out there.

I swear it Sounds like the hose ain't right in length or the wrong style swivels. 1"inch hose by 43.5inches long. WashWorld part #42800 msrp book price $138.85. I am sure your local PDQ dealer or WW dealer has them in stock and would be less than that. I always try to keep a spare one. I always ask myself what did I change along the process to create this because it worked great for a long time. What did I do to mess it up lol.

When we installed tnis, we had exactly the same issue. We immediately changed the hp hose to auch more rigid, stiff hose. I thought this new one was stiff enougj, but maybe not....? It works fine on lower pkgs, just not on 3x foam pkg

I always buy them from my local distributor for around same price $63. With Kleen rite you have to pay shipping also, but I guess you will have to pay sales tax in person too. I do get a discount with my distributor, so I don't know if that counts. Coach measure your current one with a tape and let us know if it's off did know if you ain't done this still. This has to be a simple fix just doesn't make sense. What brand of swivels did you replace with also? Shouldnt never have this kind of problem.

I didn't replace the swivels. I have noticed that the 2 Silver "hockey sticks' that the hp hose goes into, are off by about 7 or 8 inches. Is that a lil much? If so, what to do?
Isn't there a PDQ tech on here? Anyone have his cell, or office # ?

Looks like my SS booms (hockey stick looking things) is up too high coming from the bridge. Question: can I just pull it down w/ body weight, or will that damage it? It's prolly 7 or 8" higher than middle boom....
If someone has a good answer, a text would be appreciated. 409)200-hoop (4667). I'll be there for several hrs today. I full-time teach & coach, so I can't be there near as much as I need to...
