Anyone have any advice? I had my distributor come out, & he sold me a part, charged me $475 for parts & labor (for checking it out) & I replaced the part....STILL chattering!

help? It does this on the HP rinse, for about 5 seconds, then goes away

A chattering that goes away is most likely air backing up into the pump or a restriction in the inlet plumbing.

i would check the inlet screen on my hp feed tank. do you have this?

i would then check water feed to hp pump at every point i could disconnect it from feed tank to pump.

i would look for leaks. if air is entering it will chatter. on my touch free it happens if my hp wax runs low and chem line is pulling air (instead of wax ) and injecting it into hp pump.

what part did tech replace? maybe they installed or wired it wrong. did it work properly at all after the part was replaced?

They replaced the Big plastic check valve, up top in the holding tank. The ball was gummed up & would seeme to be sticking. it worked for ONE DAY!

If that cured it for a day that would be the place to start.

$84? WOW! Dealer charged me $157!!!!!!!!!!!

Seems odd that it could get gunked up again, in ONE DAY. I only wash 10/cpd, so it ain't from overuse. lol

Every time for me it has been air entering system a few times with a floating foot valve.

I would recommend upgrading to a 2" Check Valve, we have found that the 1-1/2" check valve can and will not have enough allowed flow which creates the cavitation or starvation of the pump initially.
