I have a Wesumat IBA and I must say that the customer service for this machine is the worst. I am having a programming issue and Mark VII will only give me the name of my local distributor. They REFUSE to support their equipment in any way. If you don't like your local distributor or think they are inept at working on the machine then, tough, keep paying them $150.00/ hr to try and figure out the problem. The worst part is I have no choice but to take it up the backside. Is there anybody on this site who may have some insight on the Wesumat wash? My problem is with the wash sequence putting Rain X on every single wash.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Mark 7. I wish more people would explore this facet of their policies before making a buying decision. In a wierd sort of defense, they are not alone in this regard. Send me a message with a phone number and I may be able to help. Are they really charging $150 per hour?

I think the German company is called Washtec, not Wesumat. The folks at Wesumat might actually be helpful and you are giving them some bad pub.

I doubt that Mark VII, PDQ, and Ryko pay much attention to Mac. He is well known for bashing the big mfrs. while not identifying himself as a distributor for one of the little companies, which BTW, can price guoge with the best of them:eek:. I know from first hand experience.

I don't know what the original poster's situation is with his distributor, but as has been said many times here, they can make or break you. I have an excellent Mark VII distributor. I have Mark VII because that's what they sell. The Wesumat is as good as any other, heck even Mac's brand would probably turn out a clean car if he can keep it running correctly for the customer.

IMO, I find Mac's bashing of equipment without identifying himself as a distributor for another brand a little unethical and damages his rep more than it benefits him. If he stated that he is a distributor for XYZ brand in a signature everyone reading his posts could draw a better conclusion.

I just love this site. It does get things out in the open. Mr. I.B., you are correct in that the so called big three don't listen to me. They never did even when I worked for some of them. That was as a field tech suggesting ways to improve the designs. No big deal, since they weren't going to pay me for it anyway. I always love the way some call bashing when I state the policy of the company. Guess it's like criticizing the president. Any disagreement is bashing. I have never been shy of telling others that I am a salesman and sell primarily for Magic Wand. I don't say it in every post because to me that smacks of putting in a sales plug. If you can site an example of my misstating something, please do. Lord knows I am capable of making a mistake, and I do like to be informed if I'm wrong on something. Take Mark 7 stocking policy. Their techs in Florida do not carry the electronic parts on the vans because Mark 7 starts the warranty when they ship the part to the distributor. So a service call for an electrical item always results in 2 trips. You are right Mr IB, the distributor makes or breaks any machine. The original poster has one that charges 150 per hour and seems incapable of correcting what should be a simple reprogramming issue. So isn't he bashing also? And if so, how do you ask for help and warn others about incompetentcy? Please enlighten me.

Mac, thanks for your help and I will be getting back to you. I need all the help I can get with this machine. I posted to this site for some help with a machine that the manufacturer SHOULD support. Mark VII will only do this through their distributor. I have had some dealings with other makers and one in particular will work with the equipment owner every step of the way.

My issues with the Wesumat have been...
The triple foam sux. I have rengineered the tubes for better coverage.

The shampoo was horrible. Customers didn't even knew there was any even getting on the car. I spoke to the distributor about this many times. I finally started talking to some other people and we put a foam generator on the shampoo. I'm using half the shampoo with 100% better show.

I want to figure out a way to send information that the wash has tripped to the Hamilton so it won't take money for another wash. It sends something to the wash panel making it flash green, it seems it could communicate with the entry system to let it know that it is offline. The Mark VII distributor doesn't seem to have the resources to be able to help me on this and Mark VII won't talk to me about it.

If you produce a good product and support it effectively, I don't think you would need to make sure your distibutor has a monopoly on the market. The Wesumat is a good wash but it has a lot of bugs that need to be ironed out. I guess if you refuse to talk to the guys who deal with the machine everyday then the world seems awfully rosy when it comes to your equipment.

You should be able to buy one through the distributor. If not send me a message and I'll see if I can find one for you. I keep forgetting, am I susposed to now state on every post that I sell for a company that will provide free phone support for anyone that owns a piece of their equipment, and sell parts also?
