Max HP PSI on WashWorld Razor?

I was told the max pressure you can have on the Razor is 1100psi for HP rinse through the arch, the reason I'm asking is that I just visited another wash with a WashWorld High Velocity and the HP rinse was way more powerful than mine. If you turn the regulator up higher wouldn't you have to change the nozzle size GPM throughout the arch?

Assuming it has the Cat 3535, the max pressure of the pump is 1200. I know it will run a lot higher, but it will shorten the life of the seals, and other components of your unit may have a limit of 1100. If you do run it higher than 1200, you'd increase your water use a lot unless you change tips.

Not sure how many .gpm it can pump but he may have had bigger nozzles to use more water. 25% increase in water doubles the impingement or cleaning force of water.

The Cat 3535 pump is a positive displacement pump. The data sheet states it has a rating of up to 36 gpm, 100-1200 psi and 100-800 rpm. How many gallons it pumps per minute is a function of pump RPM only. If the pump rpm is 800 then the pump is moving 36 gpm. If you wanted to exceed the pump specs to get 40 gpm from the pump it requires 900 rpm and ~33 hp for 1200 psi or ~25 hp for 915 psi. If the pump is running at 800 rpm/36 gpm and your nozzle total is set to be 30 gpm at 1200 psi then 6 gpm is being bypassed by the unloader. The math says 25 hp and 36 gpm will give you ~1043 psi. To use the max rating of this pump the math says it would take almost 30 hp to produce 1200 psi at 36 gpm. Doing the math you could run this pump with a 15 hp motor and still achieve 1200 psi but to do so would require a rpm of 445 which would net 20 gpm. The pulley sizes would determine the rpm. We don't do this because if we only needed 20 gpm at 1200 psi there are much smaller and cheaper pumps designed to do that.

Im running mine at 1100 and bought a set of new tips every 6 months and you can definitely tell the difference when changed out.

Hopefully, this is related enough to not be too much of a hi jack of thread since I am pretty sure the autos that choose a balance of more water over just more pressure actually provide a better process ... the chemicals be equal ...

I am curious to know if anybody has the ability with a SS alone location & mostly Auto location how the water bills vs revenue compares. We struggle with the huge increases of water bills we have been having ... that is mostly caused by giving our laundromat customers the most effective wash by not lowering the water levels per fill.
