I’d go with the rotary switch because they hold up the best, Dixmor LED-6 timers, because Dixmor timers are the best in the industry, Cryptopay credit card system, and Micro-coin multi-coin coin acceptors, you never know what you might want to do in the future, you might want to go to tokens at a later date etc. I’d also go with Cryptopay on the Hamilton ACW-5. But this might be a small problem because it looks like some hacker put in a 3rd party validator in the ACW-5 and blanked off the factory validator hole, it all depends on how they hacked up the door to get the validator installed.

FWIW I ordered two Microcoin QL acceptors to try, and they jam a lot. They got really gunked up really fast, and cleaning them hasn't helped. A few days ago when I got there they were both jammed. They also reject a lot of coins they should accept, which might be why they jam. I can't take the coin cups off to help prevent jams from rejects because the cup screws hold the lower frame in place.

Why couldn't you put some stainless button head 4-40 (or whatever fits in) screws and nuts in place of the cups?

...Duh. Didn't think of that. I'll try it, but I'm not sure it'll help much. This last time when they both were jammed, neither one was jammed up the return chute, just in the coin path.

You must have gotten some bad ones. We've had almost zero problems with the ones we have. I think I'd try to send them back if I was having all problems your having. We've also got a bunch of Slugbuster III and we've had almost zero problems with those.

I've got a friend with a wash with all Microcoin QL, even in the vacs, and he's had no problem with jams. They're mostly very old, some might be 30 years old. Mine started jamming regularly after six months, one jammed the second day in use, and one I had to zip-tie together when someone tried to clear it or force coins into it and broke the top chute. One rejects way too often, the other is fine there. I can't afford to deal with them anymore, and I can't recommend them.

I'm a MicroCoin fan.
Interesting that you have such poor luck with them.

Just a thought...you might try.
Add a small washer or two between the faceplate and the bottom of the acceptor's frame, just to tip it back a bit.
They like to be plumb or even a few degrees from plumb.
