We bought this wash a while ago, it used to be National Pride. It has what we think is an old monorail. Nobody here knows for sure who made it. One of my colleagues said he thought it was American Pride and had a single Wheatley pump, but I’ve never heard of them.
Will grab a pic of the auto ext week.
The wash has been filmed numerous times. It is Clean Right Car Wash in Rockford, IL

This picture is when someone broke our undercarriage and we were looking for parts. My colleagues said he said that it used to go all the way to the other side of the bay but I’m not sure if he was talking about this wash in particular

I think Pro Equipment from Benton Kentucky built that.

Monorail has been out of business for about 20 years. They started in by building automatic carwashes using a similar design as RoboWash. I don’t think they were hugely successful with the IBA but did make some of the best SS equipment and vacuums. My SS pump stand was built in ‘84 and is still working fine. Most components have been replaced more than once over the past 40 years.

Yes - the Monorails were made in upstate New York. Eric H is right - they also had a self serve line of equipment that was much more widely used than the IBA. The IBA just never took off and I have only seen one in person and that was decades ago.

I think you might be thinking of the Navigator by Pro - they might still be in business.

The Navigator is one of their newer machines and has a tiny fixed oval mounted on side rails and sizes to the car on the ends. They used to make a normal fixed oval. We had one that was spec'ed out by Super Wash. Almost identical as the one in the video on YouTube made at this wash.

Apparently the auto was put in around the 60s early 70s

Yeah I’m not sure about super wash. This place was never a super wash yet it has “property of Super Wash” on it. One of our other locations used to be a super wash so I’m guessing it came from there

Back in the day I was a Monorail distributor. They made excellent self-serve and vacuum equipment. They automatic was made by Pro Equipment, they never took off like they had hoped.

I just bought a car wash in East Peoria Illinois. It has two in bay automatics. I believe they are mono rails. Don’t know much about them but I don’t want to bring them back online because they lock to old and I don’t really trust the ones I have. If the parts will work for you, I’m looking the get rid of them.

There is a for sale section in this forum that would probably be a better place to post this instead of tacking your post onto the end of an existing post. You can create your own new post in the fourth sale section.

The East Peoria pictures look like an old Super Wash automatic. Pro Equipment made the automatic machine for them. Simple, reliable design. Very few moving parts. Does NOT size to the car.

Also looks like an old Magic Wand Oval Track. I think a lot of these early machines are related - maybe cousins!

anyways… I really doubt that anyone is going to need parts for a car wash this old and out of date. I could be wrong of course, but I would cut this stuff up and sell it for ScrapMetal if it were me. I have trouble even selling brand new parts that are still of use widely in the car wash industry, so I think you'd be waiting another 50 years for someone to buy this. Just my opinion though

Sorry for the long response, just trying to tackle as much info as possible.
The "Pronorail" is still running great, it needs a little TLC which I've been trying to tackle, but isn't showing any immediate signs of failure other than we had to add a weight to the top spray bar.

I think you might be thinking of the Navigator by Pro - they might still be in business.
I think Pro recently went under as their website has been down and I'm not getting any response emails.

Oh that's awesome! I'm assuming Monorail must've relied on Pro for their automatic division then as their builds are extremely similar.
Monorail sold 2 versions of the Navigator to my knowledge.

Monorail Mariner 1 = Pro Wash Navigator 2000
Monorail Mariner II = Pro Wash Navigator Plus

I'm not sure why Pro added the plus and 2000 at the end yet never referred to their systems with the extensions, but that's interesting point of view.

Magic Wand Oval had a little bit of a more square track, like RACO if you've heard of them. My friend found a MWO operating in Utah recently and I've been begging him to upload his footage. They also have a little "train car" that follows the spray arch around the track and what appears to be a pretty complicated trolley system and different supports.
I got a few pictures from Bill showing off some equipment at the factory that haven't been uploaded to the internet to my knowledge if you're interested in seeing those.

Monorail did NOT make these? I know Monorail has patents for something similar to this which had an attachment for the spray arch to give it vehicle sizing capabilities (Not talking about the mariner/navigator). Ours does say "Property of Super Wash" on it though even though we never operated as a super wash. Weird wording though.

For sure man! I am definitely interested in some parts. Right off the bat I am down to look at the traffic light and perhaps the system PLC.

I mean, I feel that's more people that don't know that forums like this even exist as there are still many operational Monorail systems and operators I've talked to looking to source parts. I'm 99% sure super wash still sells their (pros) supermatics.

I still have some parts from tearing out two of them. I know I have two Omron computers, traffic signals and I think the trolleys. There's more but I can't remember exactly.
