Got my UberFlex hoses up last week. Much lighter, slightly textured....I'm happy.

The Comfort Hose is a nylon braid which will expand if it freezes. It shouldn't hurt it.

I bought one UberFlex hose from Dultmeier to try out. I got it installed last week and am running 4 gpm at 1250psi through it. We run one swivel at the boom. When I installed it I installed a brand new 1/4” hose in another bay to see how the UberFlex’s longevity compares to our standard. After one week I’m thinking of removing the UberFlex...I absolutely HATE it. When on HP the hose expands and gets very stiff! By the time I’m done washing that bay down my arm is more tired than after washing down the other 7 combined. Maybe a swivel at the gun would help but I’m not about to start adding more fittings in the bay when our current setup doesn’t require one.

If you’re thinking of trying this hose buy ONE to start.

My $.02

I have always put a swivel at the boom and at the gun even on my foam guns and foam brush otherwise it's a pain the a$$ to maneuver around the bay especially for a customer, I'm having the complete opposite from your experience my customer's love the Uberflex they say they are much lighter and easier to use, unfortunately the Mosmatic Comfort Hose was 1/4" I.D and was too light to where the hose would vibrate in your hand and the pressure was reduced.

DiamondWash,
Did you switch from 3/8” or 1/4” wire braid hose? I don’t find the UberFlex to be any lighter than my 1/4” wire braid hose.

We have always used 3/8" but when the Mosmatic Comfort hose arrived I immediately saw they fittings were 3/8" not the I.D of the hose I even call Mosmatic to verify this and they said when the HP turns on it expands to 3/8".........nope at least not for me, as for the weight between hoses maybe I'm wrong but I think they are somewhat lighter then my traditional 3/8" wire braid.

I would imagine if you switched from 3/8” wire braid to either the UberFlex or 1/4” wire braid your customers would have told you the same thing. I really dislike 3/8” in the bay as it’s heavy and awkward.

One more thing to dislike about the UberFlex. Some a**hole got grease all over my bay and all the hoses. Cleaned up my FB and Foam gun hoses with WD-40 no problem. Tried the same with the UberFlex and no luck. It cleaned up a little bit but is discolored now and looks like sh*t. I think because of the matte finish on the hose it absorbed the grease.

Bye Bye UberFlex
