Motor Drives

Osilators, drive motors. Has anyone else had a problem with a motor going bad and burning up the drives? The fuses dont blow like they are suppose to. It burns up the drives instead. If so do you have a fix?

Sounds like the drive doesn't have the correct parameters in it. Does the drive have the correct motor data in it for the motor (hp, full load amps, voltage, rpm). The drive should have a current limit parameter in it and if it is set correctly it shouldn't blow the fuses. You may also want to look into line reactors assuming you are talking about an ac drive especially if you have long cable runs between the drive and the motor.
