Motor problem?

I have a bay that stops momentarily when changing high pressure functions. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

What kind of equipment?
What kind of meterboxes?
Dilling@ Harris equipment and timers are in equipment room not in meter boxes.Rotary switch on meter box. When quarters are inserted it takes 3-4 seconds for motor to start. Once running pump stops for about 2 seconds when switching from soap to rinse or wax then resumes

Sounds like older stuff. Easiest thing would be to swap out the rotary switch.

You've probably got a time delay somewhere in the 24 volt control system. It's there to prevent the equipment from slamming On when you rotate the rotary switch fast.

^^This^^ plus the rotary switch may be a "break before make" (non-shorting) instead of the preferred (IIRC) "make before break" (shorting) type.
