Here is a wash with Touch4Wash
Interesting concept. How many memberships do you think you would need to actually make money? Any idea what your typical cost is for your top automatic wash? I would think by being able to wash ANY CAR your average monthly usage per member would be higher. If I have three vehicles in my household and I only wash two of them each week that's 8 washes per month. Maybe the slow throughput of the in-bay solves that issue.

Our data would say that on average members wash 3-4 times per month. This will vary through out the year and site by site, but as a whole this is what the data shows.

Absolutely. Being that Touch4Wash was developed by a car wash owner, we understand keeping cost low and have created a tiered fee model based on size of wash and activity at the wash. This is not a one size fits all model.
"All in charges" will vary by site size. I will illustrate with two site examples:
Site 1
2- IBA & 4 SS Bay location
Service fees. $65/month + $0.05/transaction

Site 2
1-IBA OR 4 SS Bay location
Service fees. $45/month + $0.05/transaction

The site fee is a fixed cost and the transaction fee is a variable cost along with the credit card processing fees.

Assume you are at Site 1 (above) and running a membership program and have 400 members at $30/month and washing 4 times per month/member (results will vary by site).
Owner Monthly Revenue - $12,000
All in monthly fees (Site fee, trans fee & processing fee) - $645
Percentage - 5.38%

Same assumptions as above using GoBuckeye's estimate of 8 washes per month/member....
Owner Monthly Revenue - $12,000
All in monthly fees (Site fee, trans fee & processing fee) - $725
Percentage - 6.04%

These examples are simply to show the impact on membership activity. Touch4Wash is equipped with pay as you go, fleet, prepaid credit, discounts and more. As these options are used by your customers, your "all in charges" will vary based on activity.

Hope this helps. Jim

Here is an article we wrote about how to look at memberships. The memberships game boils down to converting "sometime" washing customers into fixed reliable revenue customers. To entice these customers you have to show value, this is where the whole unlimited concept comes from.

Hope this helps. Jim

Thanks Jim,
We may talk again sometime when the world is back to some kind of normalcy.

This looks like one of the more interesting app based payment programs. I just downloaded the app to see if there are any washes in our area and there are none. It does not state the distance it uses to determine that. Before we buy anything we will use it as a customer first to see if it makes sense. It looks like we would have to go to Lexington KY to try it. :) What does each devise cost and what are their fees?
Hi OurTown, I know this is an old post, but we're just now joining this forum. I'm happy to answer any questions you have if you'd like to reach out to me directly.

Thanks!

I ordered enough Coinless devices to install at both of my washes and have every available function work with the system. That includes all vacuums, self serve bays, IBA's, and even my air machine. The devices are wireless, so no need to run wires to each device from the ER. At one wash I had Swipe N Clean in the past, so I put all the devices in that cabinet and just used the 2 wires that went to each SS bay and Vac to connect them. You can have 4 on each device, but the IBA's need one each since each wash uses 1 input. I have yet to install those, but plan on doing it tomorrow.

At my SS only wash, I just finished installing 2 devices in my JC cabinet to power the 6 bays. I used 2 extra wires for each bay from the bundle of wires that is going to each coin box for the functions. My vacs do not have any wiring run to the ER, so I have to put one device per vac except for a couple that are next to each other. Those can share as can the air machine that is next to a vac.

I have all of the SS bays setup as count up and it works perfectly. You start the bay from the app on your phone and then shut it off there as well. For the vacs, I set it up as count down as if I did count up, customers wouldn't be able to change between vac and shampoo or fragrance due to how it achieves count up. It basically bypasses the timer when setup that way, so no way to switch. At least with count down it will match how my Cryptopay swipers are setup.

I have yet to receive or install the signage, so I have only had one customer sign up as I told them about it while I was testing and they loved it. They received $5 in credits to use for signing up and then actually spent $18 additional during their first use.

Loyalty and Wash Club are two big features that I am looking forward to. The default is for the customer to received $5 in credits for every $50 spent. Wash Club is setup so that they receive 50% in bonus credits if they agree to a recurring monthly charge with a minimum of $20. So if they allow me to charge their card $20 each month, the would receive $30 in credits each month. Both the loyalty and bonus Wash Club amount can be changed. Customers receive bonus credit for any referral that sets up an account.

Overall is seems very promising and has a great dashboard. I know it will take time but believe that it will take off over time. I will update as things progress and welcome any questions.
I know it’s been a while, but how has your experience with Coinless been?
