I have a customer that installed a Nayax reader on a SS bay. They claim it works fine except the Credit card doesn’t shut off/stop charging.
Does anyone know if this is a wiring issue or a programming issue?
I haven’t seen the unit or seen a wiring diagram, yet.

Just got back from meeting with the customer. They were trying to use the stop position on the rotary switch as the “end credit card” position just like the old Etowah Valley system did.
I have to double check all of their wiring first. Then, I’m going to try to figure out if the rotary switch stop position can be used.
I am completely unfamiliar with this system and haven’t seen the computer/back end portion yet.
I did find the 6 page post on all of the issues people are having with this system.
CryptoPay was an absolute breeze to install compared to Nayax!

There are two options to stop the charge with Nayax. 1) a stop button on the touchscreen - is that on the screen while running in count up mode? If not, call Nayax support and they can resolve that 2) wire in a hardware stop button and program the Nayax VPOS to use that signal to stop a count up transaction.

Eric,
"Automatic Stop" using the rotary switch STOP position can be accomplished by installing a programmable logic relay or PLC, some minor rotary switch wiring, and an additional wire from the coin box to the car wash’s equipment room control panel.
Here's a example SmartRelay installation for 6 bays. According to my customer..."It Works Great!"

An External Stop switch, which mimics the Nayax touchscreen’s Stop Icon, can be installed by shorting 2 wires on the Nayax cable:
  • Ex_Door_Open (light green wire)
  • GND (gray wire)
Here's a recent install featuring an illuminated External Stop switch.

In both cases, correct attribute settings in the Nayax Core Management software is required.
  • Card Readers / VPOS Button Function = 1 External Cancel
  • Pulse/ccTalk / Increment Source = Door Open as Cancel
