The new Baldor motors are as good as the older Baldor motor was. We’ve been switching over to Leeson motors as our Baldor motors fail. We get them locally.
I've bought and installed probably 50 Baldor motors in the last five years and have had no issues with them. They've finally gotten their quality control back. I get them (182T 3HP 3PH, EM3211T) from a local motor sales place for $360.

We have had no problem with the 3 182T HP 3 PH Baldors either. Ours were manufactured in 1987. Unless a problem is a clear burn out requiring a too costly of a rewind ... we have a really good local motor repair shop for other problems. The owner the son of the shop's founder actually has a degree in electrical engineering from NDSU FWIW.
