Bought a 5 column Lil Tree for $200! However, it is very dirty inside & out. What could I clean the SS with?
O going to replace my vacuum decals, & wanna clean the outside of those vacuums. Any suggestions on cleaning outside of vacuums, as well as getting off the decals?

I just did a few decals. If they are SS I just use a new razor blade scraper and get the decal off, then I put goof off into a pray bottle and soak the glue, put a new blade in and scrape the glue off, then soak again and use a rag to clean. I then go over everything with a scotch brite pad and wipe everything down and new decal goes on carefully starting from the center I go down first. I got rid of all my vacuum decals except the faceplates. Easier to keep kleen, and I dont think people need to read the decal to know they are vacuums!!! Most can/dont read anyway!!!

I clean the outside of the vacs that are in front of the bays every few years with a 4:1 solution of Klean Wall and water - it just takes a cloth wetted with the solution and the stuff comes right off. Make sure you neutralize it and don't let it dry or it will stain.

If you clean inside the vendor with Klean Wall, take the shelf racks out first. They should come out easily in one piece, then everything left should be stainless.

Heat gun and razor scraper should take the decal off - sometimes just warming it up will let it peel off with all the adhesive. I prefer 3M Adhesive Cleaner to remove the rest.

Any other ideas? I don't wanna spend $80 bucks on Kleen Wall w/ shipping & tax. Also, I already ordered my decals, so don’t wanna leave them w/out decals...
How much is Goo-Off & 3M adhesive remover?

MEP is right about 3M Adhesive remover. Its kind of expensive at $20 quart from hdwr store but takes decal glue off better than anything else I tried. I needed it for a large vac decal.

Try some dollar store toilet bowl cleaner diluted with water. Someone told me it worked great on his stainless steel D&S gantry.

You can buy some low fume Muratic acid at Home depot for about $5. Dilute it with 4 parts of water and it will make the stainless shine. Wipe it off with water after you are done.
