Howdy!

One Cryptopay swiper of ours:

1. it verifies the card.

2. starts a wash cycle

3. shuts down on its own after 2-3 sec and gives 'thank you' prompt.

bad swiper?

reset the correlator once and tried my credit card and i got it to work normally then problem came right back.

we have 2 ss bays and the other bay swiper etc works normally.

If it is reading the card and starting the time cycle I would say it must be clean enough to work. Because it is cutting out or dropping its connection and your other readers are working with the coordinator, I would say its a bad reader. I would make sure you have all good connections inside of the meter box with the reader.

It might be a bad reader. We had 2 readers go bad, one was my fault and they were very good about replacing them.

Simplest test woud be to swap readers with another bay and see what happens.

That behavior is what is supposed to happen when an invalid card is used. There is not enough time to validate, so it starts and once it realizes that the card is invalid, it shuts down. If it does that to valid cards, then maybe there some issue with the reader. If there is no communication with the coordinator, then you can set it up to accept all cards and then just send the data later when communication is re-established, so the fact that it is shutting down should rule out a communication problem unless you have that option turned off.
