In October we completed installation of a new Belanger Saber touch free automatic with onboard dryer. It replaced a hydrospray classic which was just replaced in 2012 do to an insurance claim. The tower was brand new in 2012 and the control stand was upgraded with the modicon touchscreen which allows for remote access and control of all features. This system worked fine, but unfortunately the previous owners of this wash had let it fall in to such a state of disrepair that we felt a new fresh look was needed to change perception. Part of my remodel budget included selling this equipment, and so far I have been unable to do so. I have listed it on this site as well as carwash consignment with no results. Can anyone give me some ideas on leads or possible places to contact to sell this equipment? It is currently in storage at Hydrosprays warehouse and I have an extra tower and many other new parts. Hydrospray thought they could move it but so far we still have it. Thanks

Well good luck, as you'll need it. Most of the time when I look on ebay for used automatics, I can find some real good deals. There's just a lot of used stuff out there. And when buying used you pretty much have to take a stranger's word that, really, it was washing fine and maintained well. Unless you are a hands on operator who knows how to work on that machine, it's tough to justify.

Mac, thank you for the response and I agree it is a tough sell. I thought that by stating the manufacturer currently has the equipment and they are willing to install for a new buyer, it might make it more attractive to someone looking to save money by installing used equipment.

I don't know how much you are asking, but it has been my experience that used wash equipment generally does not sell for much at all. I would understand valuing it fairly high, as it is less than 3 years old, but you might have to cut your losses and sell it at a real bargain for the buyer just to unload it.

You can also list on talkcarwash.com. Or Ebay has the largest target crowd. I ended up scrapping most of my equipment when I redid my was. It wasnt worth storing, listing and then if you sold it packing and shipping!!! I cant stand scrapping working equipment, but I also dont have space to keep stuff around.
