JC WW 1.0, my wash is occasionally acting up, right after customer paid, the Waiting and Enter lights are both came on at the same time. Inside the base; the Stop & Pre-soap lights both came on the same time (this happen before the car enter the wash), the Wash Machine started washing (pre-soap started to spray) and Gantry moved about 1-2 feet then stop, the Stop & Pre-soap lights are turned off and the Back Up light turned on. After 1-2 minutes the Gantry reset itself and go back to home. The customer paid again or the next customer paid and the Gantry start to wash and operate normally for next 10 or 15 cars then act up again, No error code indicated or sometime indicate "the home prox need to replace".

Home Prox check OK, clean the count wheel and ran wheel test good. Your input and direction are appreciated.

The only way it could start I think without the car in the bay would be something blocking the wheel eye. I've had trash get in front of eye and will start as soon as the customer pays, but then it doesn't sense the car is there so it stops. I would check the eye for the stop position first.

Perry is right, you have an intermittent problem with the treadle eye. You can try cleaning the eye, but may have to replace it or the cable.

Front of treadle eyes look clear (nothing is blocking) but the one on the right side is not turn on (not sure which one is transmitter or receiver) clean the lens of the eye and the light is now on.

Look at the undercarriage eyes and they are the same, the one on the right side is not turn on, clean the lens and now they are all on.

BTW: the undercarriage occasionally turn on before car enter to wash too.

The eyes were too dirty that block the lens, so the eyes may see as being block by a car. I need to clean these eyes more often.

Hope this will correct the intermittent problems, have to wait to see if the problem show up again or not.

Thank you very much for your help pcb & cfcw.

It's very possible the cord is the problem as well. I would definitely have a transmitter and receiver on hand and some spare wires. Just remember one side is going to need a 4 cord cable. It's a pain when you only have a 3 wire on hand because it's useless for the one that needs the white wire. Those eyes and cords catch a fit being on the ground.

If the undercarriage is coming on as soon as the wash is activated it's also the eyes. Basically the receiver sees the transmitter and when it doesn't see it, it activates it. So, if one is bad then it's like it's activated at all times.

Thank you Perry, I'm going to order those eyes for back up. Do you or anyone know where is the best source to get them. Do you know their part number by any chance.
