Will Ryko's wash combo selector allow a WSII to work with any Ryko machine or just the older ones that have the Wash Equipment Interface box?

The wash combination selector was the option available to use non-Ryko coinboxes with Ryko equipment as an alternative to the WEI. In newer equipment, many programs have the ability to program the wash package options within the timer adjustments of the machine, and the relay outputs from a WSII can wire directly to the inputs on the PLC of the machine. If you can provide the program number that is installed in a machine, I could tell you if your program is capable of this.

On your machine, you would need a wash combination selector to replace the WEI in order to work with a Unitec Wash Select II coinbox. The wiring is pretty straight forward. Just wire the outputs from the wash combination selector in the same positions as the WEI are wired today. In other words, output 1 should go to the same PLC input for each. The inputs to the wash combination selector will come from your coinbox. In 1 is your output relay 1 from the coinbox. There are two setup questions you will also need to change in the machine program to change from one to the other. Setup question 1 "WEI Option?" needs to be changed to "NO", and setup question 3 "Other Arming?" needs to be changed to "YES", but you will need a RYKO hand-held programming console to be able to make that change.
