What do we think of the new Cube, spinlite IBA? Apparently it will be in Vegas.
Any operators on here running Belanger spinlite equipment? How do they clean?

Actually my first thought was those rotating and pivoting HP blasters being a nightmare.

Is it true Belanger will discontinue the Freestyler line up in favor of the Cube?

They have a traditional top brush design on their spinlite tunnel equipment. Probably some engineering consideration keeping it off the cube. That scissor design looks like a nightmare to me.

Just the size of the system would be a major challenge for existing sites. The brush length needs to be staggered instead of tilting the brushes at a angle hence loosing contact with part of the vehicle. Brush speed, material, etc.

It is amusing to see people reinventing the wheel over time. The market will determine whether this flies or not. The main thing I see about the design is the friction material and its contact with the surface. I'm just wondering how it won't get caught up in a bicycle and yet still have the oomph to clean.

We tried the new Spinlite tunnel near us the other day with my truck. It cleaned pretty good but the dryers must not be set up right because my truck was soaking wet after. The speed of the entire wash with the prep was almost on par with some IBAs. (about five minutes) A newly built wash should not have to prep IMO. The brushes rotate very slow but the material must be really heavy because it seemed to slap and kind of hammer my truck. It was pretty disturbing. Again probably not set up right but after three months of operating you would think they have it figured out. 2 reviewers state that their front license plate had been folded in half.

It sort of reminded me of that crap Lammswool that N/S uses, although without actually seeing it, I couldn't make a realistic comment. Whoever is running that wash must not have a clue as how to opertae it. If a vehicle has a lot of water on it it either did not get clean, or the wax/drying agent wasn't applied properly, or both. That lammswhool stuff also slaps the crap out of a car. Go through it in an empty van and you will be surprised.

My car also comes out soaking wet at the wash with Spinlite equipment near me - my car comes out very clean, just wet. Unlike your experience, the brushes at this wash don't slap the car nearly as hard/loud compared to other local washes with traditional materials & rotation speeds so I'd have to agree with you that they aren't set up correctly.

My only issues so far: Shinemitt ends need to be improved. Belanger needs to start using a sturdier 3 ply neoprene media. The wash is a little slower than the freestyler but not by much. And finally, I have been getting a random PLC com fault error that shuts the wash when the bay is empty. Other than that its a great machine I was able to take a significant price increase with very little impact on total wash volume.
