So for me a better example of “No good deed goes unpunished”, is one day at the carwash I found a wallet on top of the tree vendor, looked inside there was $2 in the wallet and a drivers license with the name and address of the owner of the wallet, what I have always heard is that if you can find identification for the owner just put it in a local mailbox < that this is what your supposed to do, and they will send it to them, so that’s what I did, about 3 days later < on a Saturday, this young man called and asked me if I found a wallet at the wash, I said yes and that I put in in the mailbox drop off and you should be getting it in the next couple days, so about 30 min. after I talked to him and told him what I did his mother calls and says “since you were the last person to know about the last location of the wallet, and they have not received it yet” that she was going to call the police and tell them that I was the last person that was in possession of the wallet, I thought, What??!! Thanks allot, about 30 min later the young man calls back and says the wallet just came in the mail, I said great, and tell your mother I said thanks…!!!
