As some of you may know, I recently bought a self serve and automatic wash. Have had it for about 2 months now. Have been redoing the entire place, I think there has only been two days since ownership that it has NOT rained. So now getting ready to open the Istobal extended height automatic this weekend. Just in time for the expected hurricane this weekend. Woo weee. Where did I put that bottle of scotch?

Not yet. Getting the equipment in order still the main priority.

Position yourself strategically, so when the wx cooperates, you can take full advantage of it;

~focus on equipment speed , effectiveness and "up-time "( through maintenance, troubleshooting and spare parts inventory)

~ keeping things working and as tidy as possible. from changers to tree vendors, keep it all as functional as you can.

~differentiate your wash by offering more products and services at each customer visit: I have tri foam and air blow dry in SS bays. DIY towel dry station and DIY auto bay prep bucket / brush. Tire air machine. 4 single column vendors, one 5 selection little trees machine, one electronic 3 column machine and an AMS Visi-combo machine I got from Uncle Sam. There's always more you can add, too: soda machine, etc.

~ keeping price high. Someone else said that if you are better than your competition, your price should be higher than theirs.
